Venezuela’s political, humanitarian and economic crisis has led to severe shortages of food, electricity, medicine, water and other basic needs. This outflow of Venezuelans has had a growing social and economic impact on neighboring countries in Latin America and the Caribbean, including effects on public services, labor markets, community relations, and infrastructure. The BetterTogether Challenge is a global initiative that supports the implementation and acceleration of forward-thinking, sustainable solutions that enhance the integration of Venezuelans and host communities affected by the regional crisis. We work to ensure that the innovators behind the groundbreaking approaches are getting the support they need to apply and expand their solutions to alleviate one of the region's most pressing humanitarian challenges.
The BetterTogether Challenge is a partnership led by the U.S. Agency for International Development and the Inter-American Development Bank.

Empowering Innovative Solutions
The BetterTogether Challenge is a partnership led by the U.S. Agency for International Development and the Inter-American Development Bank. Challenges mobilize coalitions by providing a platform for partnerships and collaboration, bringing the world together around an issue.
The BetterTogether Challenge partners share a commitment to crowdsourcing, funding and scaling innovative, sustainable solutions from around the world, and empowering Venezuelans for a more inclusive, prosperous and self-reliant future.

Acceleration
BetterTogether's acceleration program provides grantees with organizational capacity development support. The program leverages mentor-training, mentorship and peer-learning to help grantees identify significant challenges. Grantees gain the tools and knowledge they need to scale their enterprise sustainably beyond the life of the grant. By providing technical support in acceleration, the BetterTogether Challenge empowers locally-driven solutions to be sustainable and scalable to national, regional and global contexts.
Content will be updated as programs launch and include highlights on acceleration Check out our Stories and News sections for more information on our innovations' progress and achievements.
