Access to Clean Water
In Venezuela, four out of ten households face recurring interruptions to their water service, and one out of every four households do not have sustainable access to potable water, as of February 2020.
Through this project, a Venezuelan NGO is applying a community model to install, operate and maintain water purification units to distribute clean water in a fair and transparent manner.
By incorporating and training users throughout installation, maintenance and oversight processes, the organization is building community ownership and access, especially for vulnerable populations—such as children and the elderly.
