- 5,888 end users received educational materials
- 520,915 onsite interactions with Jardín Sésamo content
- 28,004 Sésamo chatbot interactions by targeted audiences
Sesame Workshop’s innovation tested two alternative delivery channels to facilitate access to quality education content for 5,888 migrant and vulnerable families in Peru via: (i) Jardín Sésamo plug-in devices that broadcasted educational content over free local WIFI access in selected spaces, and (ii) the Sésamo ChatBot, which distributed educational resources across a whole child curriculum to caregivers via WhatsApp.
Through partnerships with local organizations, facilitators are training to integrate these digital solutions into their existing educational services, document best practices and adapt based on lessons learned.
